Three miles from Avantipur, Malangpura is a location where a medieval stupa is situated. This stupa resembles other Kashmirian stupa structures. It is a square structure with two projections on both sides and large staircases, each of which faces a cardinal point. The sculptural works on the exterior of the walls of the stairs are remarkable. On the left wall of the southern staircase, there is an inscription of a half-brute and half-reptile with a beak, horn, wing, and huge protruding eyes. The carved images of the monster and the ornamental wheels are on the right flank wall of the the western stairs.
