Statue of Abbe Faria is one of the tourist attractions located in the heart of
Panaji, the state capital of
Goa. It is a peculiar statue of Abbe Faria hypnotizing a young woman. Abbe Faria, born in 1756 at
Candolim, was a famous Goan priest, scientist, revolutionary and hypnotist. He is considered to be the father of Hypnotism.
