State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology is located at Thuvakkudi, 18 km from
Tiruchirapalli. The institute was established in 1981 and is spread over an area of 28 acre. This Institute is run by the Government of Tamil Nadu,
Chennai. The courses offered at this institute are a 3 year diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology and 1 year certificate courses in Front Office, Book keeping and House keeping, Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, and Bakery and Confectionary.
