St Xavier’s College, started in 1981, is situated at Kothavara in
Vaikom. Affiliated to the
Mahatma Gandhi University, the college offers degree courses in economics, politics, physics and zoology. It has a well stocked library and standard science laboratories. Extra-curricular activities including sports day, debates and career talks are organized.
The college is around 35 km south of Ernakulam and 40 km north of Kottayam.
