St Thomas College, established in 1919, is the first catholic college in
Kerala. It is situated in
Thrissur, a place with great historical and religious prominence. The college was founded by the Rt. Rev. Dr John Menachery, the bishop and vicar apostolic of Thrissur.
Managed by the Arch Diocese of Thrissur, the whole campus is split into two enormous buildings namely arts and science blocks. The college has 16 teaching departments, including the three research departments and the nine postgraduate departments.
St Thomas College offers under graduate, post graduate and PhD level courses in various subjects such as humanities, social sciences, physical sciences, natural sciences and mathematical sciences.
