St Thomas Cathedral is located in
Irinjalakuda, 20 km south of
Thrissur. It was built in 1846. The architectural design of the church is a simple neoclassical theme. Pindi Perunal is the main festival held annually at the church. It comes after the 13th day following
Christmas. St George is remembered on this auspicious day.
Adjacent to this cathedral is the famous St Mary's Church. Irinjalakuda Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
