St Mary's Basilica Church

Built in 1818, St Mary's Basilica Church is situated opposite the Russel Market Square. It is the sixth church to be given the status of a Basilica in India, proclaimed through a papal order by in 1973 by Pope John Paul VI. Many people come to visit the church when the feast of Virgin Mary is conducted annually in September.
