Established in 1956, St Joseph's College is one of the foremost institutions in
Kerala. It is situated opposite to the Medical College, about 6 km from
Kozhikode. The college is popularly known as Devagiri College.
Run by the CMI Congregation, the college is affiliated to the University of Calicut. It offers graduate and post graduate courses in economics, mathematics, physics, chemistry, botany and zoology. There is a separate wing for M G University's off-campus programs and courses.
This institution has an eight-lane track stadium, auditorium, open-air theater and a computerized library. The college houses a unit of the senior division of NCC (National Cadet Corps) along with the unit of NSS (National Service Scheme).
St Joseph's College is within 15 minutes from Kozhikode Railway Station.
