St George Syrian Orthodox Church is located at Karingachira, near
Tripunithura, in Erunakulam District. This AD 722 church is one of the ancient churches functioning under the Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church. Mor Gregorius was ordained fourth order of the deaconate at this church. An ancient inscription is there on a granite slab on the southern wall. The church is renowned for an offering called 'thamukku nercha.' A wide ranges of activities are arranged here on a regular basis.
