St Bartholomew's Church located at
Bangalore, is built more like a bungalow. It is one of the ancient churches in
Karnataka believed to have been constructed around 1830-31. Some people believe that this church was constructed for the British residents of Mysore. St Bartholomew's Church is noted for the absence of the typical Gothic architecture associated with churches. Main attraction is a rectangular gable-roofed hall which contains Tuscan twin columns and the Roman-arch shaped windows.
