Sri Somanatha Kshetram, a spiritual retreat in
Hyderabad,
Andhra Pradesh, was founded by Sri Somanatha Maharshi, who is believed to be an incarnation of Lord
Shiva, with an aim to establish the culture of peace and equality all over the world. Legend says that it is the second place in India where the jyotirlinga or Lord Shiva’s incarnation in the form of a bright light, manifested itself.
The ashram is located on the top of a hill in a tranquil setting. Sri Somanatha Kshetram offers all kinds of services for devotees, yoga practitioners and spiritual aspirants regardless of caste, creed and religion. Yoga and meditation are some of the main activities of the ashram. Bhajans are sung every Sunday.
