Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha was established with an objective of fostering national integration through musical training, cultural programs such as dance performances, music recitals and social gatherings. It is a professional institute based in
Mumbai that conducts diploma course in Carnatic music recognized by Mumbai University.
The Sangeetha Sabha offers opportunities for around 400 students for learning and researching classical music from vocal, Veena and Violin to Mridangam in Carnatic style, and the Harmonium, Sitarand Tabla in Hindustani tradition.
Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha has a well equipped library which houses an array of cassettes and books on music and musicology. Its auditorium is an ideal venue for lectures, discourses, meetings, conferences, sessions, workshops, seminars, film festivals and cultural shows. A medical center is added to the institute to cater for its members as well as public.
