Sri Penisula Narasimhaswamy Wildlife Sanctuary




Sri Penisula Narasimhaswamy Wildlife Sanctuary is located about 50 km from Nellore.

It occupies an area of about 1030 sq km of dry evergreen forest type. This sanctuary is the habitat for panther, chital, nilgai, sloth bear, jackal and wild boar. A large number of reptiles and bird species are also found.

July to March is ideal to visit the sanctuary. Accommodation is available in the forest guesthouse and inspection bungalow at Nellore.

Nellore Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
