Sri Nagesh Baneshwar Temple




Sri Nagesh Baneshwar Temple is located at the Sri Kuladevatha Mandir complex in Ambalamedu near Kochi, Kerala. It was constructed in 1991. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The deity Sri Nagesh Maharudra is the Kula-deva (family deity) of the Saraswat families of Kaushik, Vatsa and Bharadwaj gotras. The temple is noted for its special kind of architecture.

The main festival celebrated here is the Maha Shivratri.

Ambalamedu is 15 km from Ernakulam town. City buses ply regularly between Ernakulam and Ambalamedu. One can reach Ambalamedu from Tripunithura town, which is 5 km from here. Tripunithura railway station on the Ernakulam - Thiruvananthapuram line is the nearest railhead.
