Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Temple is located at Old Kalpathy in
Palakkad District. It is on the western end of the Double Street. The temple is dedicated to
Lord Vishnu. The construction of the temple is done in the Kerala style architecture with a sanctum sanctorum and inner prakaram.
The idol of Lord Ganesh is worshipped inside the sanctum sanctorum where as Lord Ayyappa and Lord Muruga are installed in the inner prakaram. There is a Dvajasthambam near the Mukha Mandapam where the Garuda Bhagvan facing the chief deity is installed. The temple is managed by a committee of 4 members from the village.
The offerings of the Perumal temple include the Chakkra Pongal, Ven Pongal and Chitrannam (Puliyodarai.) Thursdays and Thiruvonum days are considered most auspicious for offering Palpayasam and
Pushpanjali to the Perumal.
The temple can be easily accessed from Palakkad by road.
