Sri Krishnadevaraya University, established in 1981, is a State University situated in
Anantapur District,
Andhra Pradesh. It is a subsidiary of the erstwhile Postgraduate Center of Sri Venkateswara University started in 1968. The university is situated in a rural environment with an extensive campus of over 500 acres of land.
There are over 84 colleges, affiliated to the university. The university college offers post graduate courses.
The infrastructure includes a university science instrumentation centre, computer centre, health centre, gymnasium, outdoor stadium, auditorium, laboratories, hostels, and housing for the teaching and non-teaching staff. The central library has a wide collection of over 97,000 books and periodicals.
