Sri Kalahastheswarar Temple




Sri Kalahastheswarar Temple is situated to the south of Sri Sankara Mutt, in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. The temple enshrines Sri Kalahastheswarar as the presiding deity along with his consort Goddess Gnanambika. Belief is that the temple was built by King Serfoji for Adi Shankaracharya. Most noteworthy feature of the shrine is that worship services offered to the deity is in par with that of the Kalahasti.
