Sri Kadu Hanumanthaswami Temple




Sri Kadu Hanumanthaswami Temple is situated at Dharapuram, about 80 km from Erode. The temple is dedicated to Hanuman, the son of Vayu Baghavan (Wind God). People belonging to the Madhwa community uses this temple to meet their religious needs. The temple has an opening above the garbh griha enabling the presiding deity to experience wind, sun and rain. Another specialty of this temple is that the temple has no vimana. The main festivals are the car festival and an annual festival observed in May.

The nearest airport is C A Coimbatore Airport and Erode Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railway station. Buses and taxis are available from Erode to Dharapuram.
