Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple is a highly revered shrine situated at Alevoor, just 5 km south-east of
Udupi, in
Karnataka. The presiding deity is Durgaparameshwari. The goddess is seen seated on her mount, a lion. A golden mask adorns the idol.
It is believed that Goddess of the famous Mookambika Temple at Kollur stayed here in the form of a Shivling.
Udupi Railway Station, managed by the Konkan Railways, is the nearest major railhead. Buses ply frequently from Udupi towards Alevoor.
