Sri Bala Subramanya Swamy Temple




Sri Bala Subramanya Swamy Temple, also known as Subramanya Swamy Coil, is situated at Puthenchanthai, near the Thampanoor Bus Stand, in Thiruvananthapuram. The presiding deity is Lord Muruga as Bala Subramanya. There are separate niches for Lord Ganesh, Lord Ayyappa and Snake Gods.

There is a peacock cage and a bhajanamadam in the premises of the temple. The annual festival, Skanda Sashti, is celebrated during October-November amid much pomp and splendor. Thaipooya Mahotsavam (January) is another important festive occasion of the temple.

Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
