Soundaresurar Temple is situated at
Tirunaraiyur in
Cuddalore District. The temple is dedicated to
Lord Shiva. It also has a shrine of Goddess Tirupurasundari. The sthala vriksham (tree) is punnagam and the
teertham is Karuniya. Saints
Sambandar and Appar are said to have sung in this temple. The temple can be approached by traveling a distance of 16 km from Chidambaram.
