Sorat is situated on the banks of the Wardha River, near
Wardha District’s border with
Amaravati District, in
Maharashtra. It lies midway between Pulgaon and
Dhanor and is about 7 km east of Talani.
Wardha, the district headquarters, is about 40 km east while
Nagpur - The Orange City - is around 102 km north-east.
Chikaldara Wildlife Sanctuary,
Gugamal National Park,
Melghat Tiger Reserve,
Wan Sanctuary,
Painganga Wildlife Sanctuary and
Bor Wildlife Sanctuary are nearby wildlife sanctums.
