Sondhri is a small village about 6 km west of
Nizamabad, in
Azamgarh District.
Azamgarh, the district headquarters, lies to the north-east of it.
Dattatreya, a beautiful pilgrim spot at the confluence of the Tons and the Kunwar, is a nearby place of interest. Shivratri fair, held here, attracts people from different parts of the state.
Phariha Railway Station, on the Ballia-Shahganj meter gauge section of the North Eastern Railways, is the nearest railway access. Varanasi Airport is 83 km away.
