Sonbhadra Fossils Park is situated in
Sonbhadra District of
Uttar Pradesh. It lies on Varansi-Shaktinagar road and is about 12 km from
Robertsganj.
The park spreads across 61 acres. Algae and stromotolites are the major types of fossils found here. According to the historiographers, the fossils are believed to be 1,400 million years old.
