Anna University and approved by AICTE, Sona College of Technology is situated in the heart of
Salem. It was established in 1997 by M. S. Chocklingam. Under Graduate courses include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology. Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Computer Science and Engineering are the post graduate courses conducted by the institute. The institution has impressive and imposing buildings with all amenities to accommodate classrooms, laboratories, well equipped workshops, well stocked library, gymnasium, hostel, computer center and medical center.
