Somanath Mahadev Temple

Somanath Mahadev Temple is located at Dabhel in Daman District.

Built during the 19th century, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Legend has it that the Shivling in the temple appeared by itself because of the utter devotion of a monk who lived in the place. The structure was refurnished in 1972. An annual fair called Gangaji Fair is organized here.
