Sodawas is an ancient village situated 90 km south of
Jodhpur, in
Rajasthan. It was given as jagir to Thakur Bishan Singhji by Maharaja Shri Umaid Singhji of Jodhpur in 1943. Earlier, the village was under the direct rule of
Marwar State for three decades.
Excursions to the 14th century temples of Nadol, the Jain temples of Ranakpur or to the enchanting Aravalli Ranges will be an exciting experience. Horse safaris around the village can be arranged. Accommodations are available at the Heritage hotel, Karni Kot–Sodawas.
Nearest airport is at Udaipur and nearby railhead is at Pali.
