Snow World is one of the World’s Biggest and India’s first Snow Theme Park located in
Hyderabad of
Andhra Pradesh. Covering an area of 17,000 sq ft, it has an indoor 'Cryo Zone' featuring a natural snowy landscape complete with alpine forest, huts and simulated figures of penguins and polar bears.
Snow World is a public-private partnership venture. It is filled with artificially produced snow using state of the art technology supplied by Woomera Snow Guns Limited, Australia. A team from Switzerland has also collaborated in the program.
The park features Snow Slides, Ice Bumper Car rides, Merry Go round, Ice Carving and Snow Wars for the complete entertainment. Special gears such as jackets, gloves and waterproof shoes are provided. A steaming hot soup is served to all the visitors to acclimatize them with the environment.
The temperature in snow area is between –5 degrees to 0 degrees centigrade. The snow session duration is only one hour. Children below 2 ft are not allowed.
Snow world is near the Hussain Sagar Lake and the Indra Park. It can be easily accessible from Hyderabad Deccan Railway Station and Secunderabad Junction Railway Station. Hyderabad Airport is the nearest airport.
