Started in 1949, Smt LV (Govt) Polytechnic is a government recognized institute located in
Hassan. It is on the National Highway linking
Bangalore and
Mangalore. It conducts three year diploma courses in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, machine tool technology, electrical engineering, automobile engineering and computer science, and Post Diploma Course in Computer Application.
