Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre was started in 1987 by Yogacharya Sarath Kumar. It is situated on Balan K Nair Road at Ashokapuram, east side of the Malabar Christian College in
Kozhikode. The institute is an affiliate of the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, head quartered in Canada.
Various programs available here are yoga training and treatment, Vedanta teaching, meditation, naturopathy treatments, Ayurveda treatments and pranic healing. Exclusive programs are here for diabetic patients, as well as special programs for children, women and the aged. The Sivananda Centre houses an exhaustive library comprising rare reference books.
