Sitheeshwarar Temple




Sitheeshwarar Temple is located in Kanchipuram, on the banks of the Manjal River. Sitheeshwarar is the presiding deity of this sacred place.Belief is that, Goddess Parvati came to Kanchi and bathed in the holy tank of the temple. After her bath the water turned yellow and the river got the name Manjal River.

To reach this place, the nearest railway station is the Arakkonam Railway Station, located to the north-east of Kanchipuram.
