Sisai is a major town in
Gumla District of
Jharkhand. It is located on the
National Highway 23 and is 77 km west of the state capital,
Ranchi.
The ruins of a tribal fort, built on the pattern of Gwalior Fort, can be seen in the nearby village. Mahadev Kona, Bhutkuria Tongri caves, Hapamuni, Aanjan, Pampapur, Palkot hills, Bhimtongri and Basudeokona constitute interesting excursions outside Sisai.
Gumla is around 30 km south-west. Nearest airport is at Ranchi. Ranchi Railway Station serves Sisai.
