Sirpur




Sirpur is a small town one would come across en route from Ghugus from Kayar, in Yavatmal District. It is located 15 km to the north-west of Junad. It lies to the south-east of Wani. Ghugus is the nearest major settlement on the other side of the border, in Chandrapur District.

Painganga Wildlife Sanctuary and Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary are prime choices for wildlife enthusiasts in the district. Tadoba - Andharai Tiger Reserve, Bhamragarh Wildlife Sanctuary and Chaprala Wildlife Sanctuary are within easy access from Sirpur. Chintamani of Kalamb, Shri Ranganath Swami Temple at Wani, Sahstrakund Waterfalls, Mahakali Temple and Jain Temple at Bhadravati and the natural trails around Moharli are other tourist places around.

Sonegaon Airport and Warora Railway Station serve Sirpur.
