Sinon

Sinon is located in West Sikkim District of Sikkim. Geyzing, the district headquarters, is around 10 km south.

Sinon Monastery, built in 1716, is the prime attraction here. Sinon is located at an elevation of about 6,529 ft, amidst snow caped mountains and lush forest. It is ideal for trekking and hiking. Best time to visit Sinon is March to May and October to December.

Nearest airport is Civil Enclave Bagdogra. Nearest railhead is Darjeeling Railway Station.
