Sindhu Darshan Festival is an important festival celebrated at
Leh, which is about 435 km east of
Srinagar, in
Jammu and Kashmir.
This annual festival is held in the month of June. During the festival, the Kashmiris come from all over the state to worship the Indus River in Leh.
Started on the banks of the Indus River in 1997, the festival aims at projecting the river as a symbol of India's unity and communal harmony.
