Sikkal

Sikkal, in Ramanathapuram District, is a small town at about 30 km south-west of Ramanathapuram and 20 km from Mudukulathur. The town of Kadaladi is 18 km west and Kilakarai is 15 km east.

At about 14 km north-east lies the sacred spot of Uthirakosamangai. Erwadi is a nearby Muslim pilgrim center. Valinokkam Port is nearly 7 km from Sikkal. Chitrangudi Bird Sanctuary, Gulf of Mannar Marine Biosphere Reserve and Adi Jagannatha Temple at Tirupullani are nearby attractions.

Madurai Airport and Tuticorin Airport are at equal proximity to Sikkal. Ramanathapuram Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
