Started in 1952, Siddha Sakthi ArutJothi Vallalar Kalvi Nilayam serves the poor and the unprivileged children. This non-profit charitable voluntary organization is situated at Lingathadimedu village (290 km from
Chennai) in Perambalur District. It is near Arasu Cement Factory at
Ariyalur.
The organization comprises Thiruvalluvar Orphanage, Thiruvalluvar Backwardclass Hostel, Thiruvalluvar Home for Children, Vallalar Dairy Unit, K R Viswanathan High School and an aided elementary school.
Accommodation, food, clothing, education and health care are provided at the orphanage and the home for children. Apart from these facilities, the orphanage provides vocational training. The dairy unit functions for the betterment of economically backward women and widows. The high school has classes from 6th to 10th where free education is imparted. The elementary school has classes from 1st to 5th.
