Siddapura

Siddapura is located in Chitradurga District of Karnataka. It is around 42 km south of Bellary and 85 km north of Chitradurga.

Edicts of Emperor Ashoka are seen in three different spots on the hills of Siddapura. From these inscriptions it is clear that Maski (in Raichur District) once served as the seat of Mauryas.

Molakalmuru Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Hubli Airport is the nearest airport.
