Established in 1963 at
Tumkur, Siddaganga Institute of Technology is run by Sree Siddaganga Education Society. Affiliated to the
Visveswaraiah Technological University, it offers under-graduate engineering courses in various disciplines such as architecture, chemical, civil, computer science, electrical and electronics, electronics and communication, industrial engineering and management, information science, instrumentation and electronics, mechanical and telecommunication engineering. In addition post-gradation degrees like MCA, MBA, M Tech (thermal power, chemical and structural engineering), M Sc Engineering and Ph D are conducted.
Facilities include internet, health centre, computer workstations, hostels conference hall, seminar hall, auditorium and library.
