Shridhara Swami was a scholar of great repute, during the 14th century, in the present day
Orissa. He was the ‘mahanta’ (spiritual leader) of the ‘Govardhana Pitha’, a Sanskrit monastery at
Puri. During his tenure as the mahanta, he wrote several books. Notable among them is the ‘Bhabarthadipikatika,’ a commentary on the ancient text Bhagavata.
