Shri Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College

Shri Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College was established in 1989. Spread over an area of 514,000 sq m, it has a 252 bedded hospital building. The college also houses a spacious O.P.D Complex with 12 well equipped operation theatres. A T. B. Hospital and Old Women’s hospital are also attached to the medical college. It has an auditorium with a seating capacity for 800 people. Other facilities including blood bank services and 24 hours emergency services are also provided. The medical college offers M.B.B.S. courses for about 100 students a year. In addition to this, post graduate course in Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Pediatrics and Forensic Medicine are also offered. The hospital has a spacious library and internet facilities.
