Shri Thane Teerth




Shri Thane Teerth, also known as Konkan Shetrunjay Navapada Temple, is a renowned Jain temple located in Thane, Maharashtra. It is on the Mumbai-Pune railway line, about 24 km north-east of Mumbai.

The temple enshrines a black-colored idol of Bhagvan Munisurvat Swami in the Padmasana posture. The idol was installed in the year 2005 of the Vikram Samvat.

The entrance of the temple is decorated with carvings of the elephants standing on two legs. The colored painting of the significant incidents of the lives of King Samprati, King Vikramaditya and King Shripal are beautifully carved on wooden strips in the temple.

Regular bus connects the teerth with Thane. Thane Railway Station is about 1 km away.
