Shri Swaminarayan Temple




Shri Swaminarayan Temple is a delightful shrine situated at Kalupur, in Ahmedabad District of Gujarat. This is the first temple of the Shri Swaminarayan Sampraday. The temple enshrines images of Lord Narnarayandev, Lord Radhakrishna Dev, Lord Dharmadev-BhaktiMata, Lord Harikrishna Maharaj, Lord Ghanshyam Maharaj and Lord Balswaroop Ghanshyam Maharaj.

Shri Swaminarayan Temple has been constructed as per scriptural norms with carving in Burma Teak. The sculptural art work of the temple depicts deity episodes, auspicious symbols and religious icons representing axiomatic religion and Indian culture. The temple is the most valuable cultural heritage in the socio-religious history of Gujarat and India.

The Margosa tree and the Haveli of the temple are some of the cherished places to visit while visiting Shri Swaminarayan Temple at Kalupur.

Kalupur Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
