Situated about 1 km from
Sinhoniya in
Morena District, Shri Shantinath Digambar Jain Atishaya Kshetra is one of the renowned Jain temples in
Madhya Pradesh. This is a beautiful temple with the idol of Bhagwan Shantinath in standing posture.
The main attraction of this
Digambar type temple is the 5 foot 9 inch high idol of Lokpal built in the Khajuraho style. The temple also houses about 18 idols which were excavated from the nearby area. The salvation ceremony of Bhagwan Shantinath is held here with religious fervour. Rath yatra or Chariot Festival and Mastakabhishek are major festivities.
