Shri Navdurga Temple is a highly revered shrine located at
Poinguinim in
Canacona taluk of
South Goa District. Poinguinim is about 31 km north-west of
Karwar and 66 km from
Ponda.
The temple is situated on the Margao-Karwar road, on a picturesque hill top. It enshrines a beautiful idol of Goddess Navadurga. The temple can be approached by flights of steps (about 81 steps).
The five major temples, called Panchayatan, are the nearby attractions. Parshuram Temple is very aged among them.
