Shri Kudtheri Mahamaya Temple




Established around the 15th century, Kudtheri Shri Mahamaya Temple is located at Shri Mahamaya Temple Road in Mangalore, Karnataka. The temple houses Goddess Shri Mahamaya as the principal deity. The temple complex also has the idols of Shri Venkatramana, Shri Srinivas, Mahalakshmi, Mahalasanaryani, Shri Chandramaulishwara and Raktheswari Amma. The popular festivals associated with the temple are the Car Festival and Navratri. Shri Mahamaya Teertha, the largest tank in the city is seen in front of the temple. Devotees came from far and near to witness the immersion of clay idols of Ganesh in the tank during the Ganesh Chaturthi and Navratri Festival. Shri Venkatramana temple is situated nearby. Mangalore is the closest airport and railway station.
