Shri Jogulamma Temple is a beautiful shrine, in
Gudimallam of
Chittoor District. It carries some ancient inscriptions dating back to the periods of the
Pallava, Bana, Yadavaraya and
Chola dynasties, of which the earliest is one during the reign of the Pallava king – Nandivarman. According to the inscriptions seen here, the temple is believed to have been erected during the 8th century. The shrine is renowned for its architectural excellence comprising Mukamantapa,
Antarala and
Garbh Griha in Pallava style.
