Shri Gupeshwara Mahadev Temple




Shri Gupeshwara Mahadev Temple is an ancient shrine located at Damtal in Kangra District. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it dates back to 1700 B C. Numerous old coins and bricks have been found from here.

It is said that if one pours water over the Shivling of the temple regularly for three weeks, his prayers will be answered. There is a sacred pond to the south of the temple. Devotees take bath in this pond after pouring water on the Shivling. The water of this pond is believed to have power to heal all kinds of skin diseases.
