Shri Bhoyani Tirth




Shri Bhoyani Tirth is situated near the village of Bhoyani in Kadi Taluk of Mehsana District in Gujarat, about 7 km from village Kadi. This temple enshrines a white-colored idol of Bhagvan Mallinath in the Padmasana posture. This idol has a height of nearly one meter.

There are three wide and lovely gopuras on the temple complex. The original inner apartment and the festival pandal are very wide. The decorated watch-gates on the doors on three sides add to the beauty of the temple. Along this magnificent building lies a complex dedicated to Padmavati Devi, which also worth visiting.

History recounts that this place was once famous as ‘Padmavatinagar’. The present idol in the temple was found accidentally while digging a well in a field, which was formally installed in the temple on the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Magh (Jan-Feb) in the year 1900. Annually on this day, a fair is organized here with great pomp and favour. During this occasion a thousands of devotees throng here.

Bhoyani Railway Station on the Kalol-Bahucharaji railway line serves this area. The nearest airport is at Ahmedabad.
