Set in a lush green environment, the temple of Shri Bodgeshwar lies in
Mapusa. It is about 12 km from
Panaji. The temple is dedicated to Bodgeshwar, also known as Kanakeshwar Baba (Bongini). There is a belief among the people that the deity would fulfill all their prayers. Hence the divinity is regarded as the angavani. To express gratitude, devotees offer presents to the Lord. Thousands of devotees throng there to attend the annual fair during December/January.
